The Office of Agricultural Affairs (OAA) / Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) in Jakarta represents the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Indonesia and Timor-Leste. Working closely with U.S. exporters and cooperators, as well as with importers and trade associations of Indonesia and Timor Leste to facilitate the trade of U.S. agricultural products and promote food security.

USDA Indonesia assists traders of bulk and intermediate agricultural commodities including wheat, soybean, corn, cotton, feed ingredients, as well as promotes the trade of U.S. high value agricultural products, such as dairy, beef, fresh and processed fruit and vegetables, and processed, packaged, and ready-to-eat food products.

Second Annual Ramadan Delights

On April 2, 2024, FAS Jakarta held its second annual Ramadan iftar event at the U.S. Embassy’s @america cultural center. This year’s event, “Ramadan Delights with U.S. Products: featuring the Talents of Chef Vindex and a Conversation with U.S. Halal Certifying Bodies,” promoted high-quality U.S. food ingredients such as beef, cheese, dates, chickpeas, raisins, and seafood. These ingredients were integrated into local dishes traditionally served during Ramadan.

Cattle Feed Reformulation to Increase Productivity Seminars

USDA FAS Jakarta and U.S. Grains Council (USGC) in collaboration with the Indonesian Dairy Cooperatives Union (GKSI),  Food Export Association of the  Midwest USA and Food Export USA – Northeast, and U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) present  three half-day seminars in Malang, East Java; Yogyakarta, DI Yogyakarta; and Bandung, West Java, which are the production centers of Indonesia’s domestic fresh milk.
